Hi, I'm Sarah.

I'm an illustrator and visual storyteller. I draw whimsical animals, design theater posters, and care a lot about making work that feels both clear and human.

I studied art with a focus on entertainment art and animation, and I've spent time teaching it too. Both shaped how I work: curious at the start, organized in the middle, and committed to finishing what I begin. My illustrated posters and show identities have been used to promote community theater productions, and I love the moment a drawing becomes something an audience walks into.

I'm also writing and drawing an original graphic novel, a Beauty and the Beast retelling about trust, the cost of magic, and the people who live with the consequences. It's the project I'm happiest to talk about, so ask me about it.

My online name, pollitolarsen, comes from my grandmother, who called me "pollito," or little chick. It stuck, and the chick has become my mascot.

When I'm not drawing, I'm probably talking about musical theater, analyzing a story no one asked me to analyze, practicing a magic trick for an audience of one, or eating a donut.
